future society with population and knowledge

I was reading thru Peter Drucker article on our future society and it is intersting to know that two things will dominate the future society.
1. Pay attention to Population: Rapid growth in the older population and rapid shrinking of younger population. that means, more money for govt to give pensions which is not possible as we do not forsee to that extent. So, only alternative and it will come is keep working at the older ages, not necessarily as full time employees. So most of the elders will go as temporaries, part timers, consultants and on special assignments. That means skill set is important for an individual to make these assignments at any age.
2. Knowledge
Knowledge is key and knowledge workers dominate the world. There is no border for knowledge as knowledge is seamless transition across countries.
Knowledge is available to everyone and it can be acquired thru formal process either by training or classroom coaching. And finally important thing is knowledge is potential for failure or success that means, i.e. anyone can acquire knowledge but not everyone can succed in the life with the same knowledge.
so, leveraging the benefit of implementation is also equally important and it depends on environment.
