Open Source IT management tools

IT management systems are essential given the fact that current state of organizations who are handling mission critical applications. Organizations are bought the idea of proprietary solution for this and dominant players are HP OpenView and IBM Tivolil in the market. As the demand for IT management systems are increasing, orgs are looking at open source tools for IT mgmt systems. Who wants the bitter pill of High cost, slow deployment and complex management? So, companies are looking at open source it management systems that deliver compatibility of needs and demand, with greater technical agility and faster deployment. When you try to deploy commercially available tools, we overkill the functionality as these are with lots of functionality which my not be required for the need of the org. Source code is transparent and manageable.Some of the leading open source mgmt tools are NAgios, JFFNMS, OpenNMS, BigSister, NetDisco, MRTG and so on.
