Antivirus and Cloud computing

Michigan university has developed a new approach to prevent installation of Antivirus on every machine to prevent virus attack(http://www.ns.umich.edu/htdocs/releases/story.php?id=6666). They have used cloud computing(providing applications and services over network) to provide antivirus services. This is one of the innovative methods to attack virus on network. If this is successful, it is going to be much helpful for the service users. So, now the question is how many Internet service providers take the advantage and start providing this service if commercially implemented. So, you do not have to spend money on Antivirus.
