Today I read about most probable CIOs for Apple incase Steve Job decided to resign. And list goes many current Apple executives and few from Industry. Few days back when apple announced quarterly results with huge profits, we could think how much significance to have dependable CIO.
here we have two things. are we talking proactively about future in terms of probable CIO for Apple or better wait for something to happen before we take a decision. Why do we want to fix something that is still un break?
in our life we have similar scenarios. Do we need to be proactive or wait for something to happen?
Same rule cannot be applied for everything. There are situations where we need to act upon proactively and there are other situations where we need to wait for the time to come upon.
So decide Proactiveness or Just activeness. We have several examples in our life.
Particularly for a CIO job, I believe there are two factors contribute. One is “operational effectiveness” and “Innovation efficiency”.
