Boss

Recently in the times of India news paper it is discussed about Boss by Dr Debashis Chatterjee(Prof at IIML). While describing the Boss - Subordinate relation, the question came about innovation. Will Innovation works with Boss? Answer is rarely. Are you a factor of irritation or production? Boss is "Cow Boy" and You are "Cash cow". Cow Boy calls the shots and you hit the target? If innovation idea hits you then adrenalin surges inside you like anything. Then who will be the greatest raodblock? Boss. So innovation at work is managing Boss. Some of the cardinal priciples while you manage Boss are
1. Boss will always tress pass on your geography if you want to create history
2. It is easier to say sorry later then to ask the Boss's permission for any history you want to create. So, no post facto deals.
3. If your innovation fails, fix the blame on others, environment or weather or traffic. If innovation succeds, give your boss the credit and make him feel like Einestein or Alva Edison. That's it you are there.
