Yesterday, when I was to talking about how to improve performance of SOA integrated applications, we went into various areas of SOA performance.
we all know that SOA reduces the complexity of applications which are set of service
providers and Service consumers at large, independent of technologies being used. How do we
measure performance of these SOA appplications. They are all in a decoupled systems. all
systems individually performing great but when they require services from other apps,
performance is the question? Which part of the SOA governance can handle this? how to handle
SLAs for these apps?
what are the factors for performance to be considered for SOA set of systems?
Service Avialbility, Service message size, thruput and latency of the app, hardware sizing and many more?
for improved performance?
How can we sure that services are avialble 99.99% if not 100%?
How to improve performance
Good Design and Modeling practces
Use of tools to measure and improve on trail basis
Effective use of Hardware
Effective use of technologies like Event stream processing and Binary XML
Can we simulate the soa environemnt for testing?
